Tomato Lewis' Long Keeper
In stock
Description
Bunches of large, sweet, cherry tomatoes ripen quite late in the season, but carry on cropping when most others have long-gone. And when picked, either kept on the truss or singly, they have an astonishing shelf life if stored in a cool place. We were still eating the trial crop, which slowly develop attractive rippled colours, well into February. This amazing new plant was sent to us by a customer.
Sowing Advice
Cover seeds only slightly. Do not allow the soil to dry out. Containers are held in warm conditions until sprouts appear, which may take 3-10 days. Move sprouting plantings immediately to bright light conditions, eg a window. Inadequate light is a frequent cause of failure of young seedlings. Around time of last frost, set seedlings into pots. Remove side-shoots and support the plant.
