Carrot Nominator F1

Description
A very high yielding variety, Nominator has lovely smooth, cylindrical roots with a good flavour and which are relatively strong compared with other very early types. The foliage is relatively short and has a good resistance to bolting making them suitable for under cloches which will be needed for the earliest sowings from Jan through the spring. Spring & summer sowings are best in the open.
Sowing Advice
Direct sow into well prepared, light well-drained soil that is stone free. Carrots do not like manured soils so beds are best prepared during the previous autumn. Rake in a general purpose fertilizer 1-2 weeks before sowing. Sow very thinly 10mm deep in drills 30cm apart. Water until germination occurs. Germination takes 10-20 days. When large enough to handle thin to 10cm spacing.
