It may self-seed into places where it is happy ensuring fruit all summer long. In the wild it grows naturally throughout much of the Northern Hemisphere.
Sowing Advice
Sow indoors. Surface sow onto well-drained compost, just cover with a fine layer of compost. Ideal temp. 16°C. Later sowings can be made in a cold frame. Germination could take 7-10 days but it might take 30 days before you will see an obvious sign of germination. temp. must be kept constant for successful germination. Once seedlings are large enough to handle transplant to 8cm pots and harden off. As soon as possible move into the final growing location with 50cm spacing.
