Aquilegia Buergeriana
In stock
Description
This dwarf plant features bi-coloured flowers of dusky plum-purple and soft creamy yellow, over a mound of ferny light-green foliage. Perfect for the rock garden, for the border's edge or even in containers and troughs. Columbines have been grown in gardens for centuries, and in warmer countries hummingbirds will often drop in to sip nectar from the flowers.
Sowing Advice
Sow immediately at any time onto preferably a soil-based compost, covering with fine grit to approximately their own depth. Germination MAY be quicker if kept at 15 to 20 degrees C. but many seeds WILL NOT come up the year they are sown, needing winter chilling after sowing, and ONLY come up with natural spring germination.
